Winter Like No Other. Japan’s Quietest Season.

At the heart of this collection lies the variety of experiences and visuals encountered in Japan’s winter: the timeless motif of the Three Friends of Winter—Plum, Pine, and Bamboo—a symbol of resilience and endurance across many Asian cultures. Yet, as with the season itself, unexpected elements also emerge: peonies flourishing in the cold beneath their protective straw shelters, and birds darting through bare branches, adding sudden bursts of movement and life to the quiet landscape.

Through this collection, we hope to share a glimpse of a winter like no other—one imbued with richness, colour, and a quiet luxury, hidden within the stillness of the harshest season.

Concept embroidery, textile and product pieces were created to explore how these designs can be reimagined with depth, texture, and materiality.

They form part of our licensing and bespoke collaboration portfolio, offering glimpse into how the collection may translate across surfaces and applications.
